The history of the medical center began in 2012, based in a municipal facility with a small team of employees:
- 2 doctors (surgeon and dermatovenerologist)
- 2 nurses
- 1 junior nurse
At this location, the team performed manipulative procedures and minor surgical interventions for the treatment of varicose veins. As the number of patients grew, the need for separate rooms and an expanded range of services became apparent, prompting further development
The search for a suitable space began, and together with our partners at PP “Photonics Plus,” we found a facility that met all requirements. It was spacious enough to accommodate not only the medical center but also the production and maintenance of the medical laser equipment essential for our work. In March 2018, we welcomed patients to our new location for the first time. The expanded premises included:
- 1 operating room
- 2 patient wards
- several consultation offices
- a treatment (procedure) room
Very soon, there was a need to expand the staff of doctors and nurses
In 2019, the staff of the Academy of Laser Medicine included:
- 3 Surgeons
- 1 Dermatovenerologist
- 2 operating nurses
- 3 treatment nurses
- 2 junior nurses
At the end of 2019, a Gynecologist joined the team, providing both consultations and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
At the beginning of 2020, the Academy of Laser Medicine decided to expand its scope of services by adding a plastic surgery specialization, hiring a doctor with the necessary expertise.
Within just a year, it became clear that the existing space could no longer accommodate the increasing number of surgeries and procedures, making further expansion essential.
A suitable facility was quickly found - ideally located right next door to the medical center. In mid-2021, an agreement for the new space was signed.
By early 2022, part of the renovation work had already been completed. Then came February 24.
There was uncertainty about the future - how many staff members would remain at the medical center, and whether there would be any demand for our services. In the early days of the full-scale invasion, there were almost no patients, and staff prepared for any scenario.
However, by early March 2022, patients began to recover from the initial shock and started seeking our services again. Initially, these were minor procedures, such as the removal of small lesions, but soon requests for surgeries resumed as well. On March 10, 2022, the medical center fully returned to its regular operations. Despite the challenging circumstances, we remained committed to providing high-quality medical care.
The newly leased facility remained in a suspended state, as supply chains for construction materials required for renovation were disrupted. Renovation work was able to resume only in mid-2023.
On February 26, 2024, the new outpatient department welcomed its first patients.
In the summer of 2024, the surgical unit was expanded with an additional operating room and another patient room, allowing us to increase the number of surgeries performed. In response to patient demand, the clinic’s management decided to introduce a new specialty - otolaryngology.
As a result, another recovery room was added in the summer of 2025 to ensure comfortable postoperative care.
The medical center operates under a license from the Ministry of Health and holds authorization from the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines for the use of general anesthesia during surgeries. All specialties are included in the license. Our doctors and nursing staff possess the required certificates confirming their professional qualifications.
